The Seawolf men (15-4 overall, 10-3 vs. D-II) are ranked No. 4 in the first poll, while the Seawolf women (15-5, 14-4) debut at No. 5 regionally, despite being ranked 17th nationally.
Only the regional rankings matter in terms of making the NCAA Tournament. The top eight teams in D-II’s eight regions qualify for their respective regional tournaments, which are generally hosted by the top seed. There will be five more regional polls until the NCAA fields are announced on Sunday, Mar. 6.
Both Seawolf teams will be in action this week against fellow regionally ranked foes. The UAA women host Seattle Pacific (No. 25 Div. II/No. 8 West Region) on Thursday and Montana State Billings on Saturday, with both games tipping at 5:15 p.m. Meanwhile, the men host Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and
