UAA’s Robinson earns GNAC weekly award
Robinson, a 6-6 forward from
At the offensive end, he scored 30 points (10-20 FGs, 6-12 3FGs) and four rebounds in the two games, while on the defensive end he had five rebounds and six steals, and helped hold the two opposing starting power forwards to a combined six points on 2-of-8 shooting.
The Seawolves (5-2) held
It is the first career award for Robinson and the second for the Seawolves this year. Junior guard Brandon Walker was likewise honored after his performance in the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout two weeks ago.

The Seawolves (5-2) also got 13 points, six rebounds and three assists from junior guard Brandon Walker as they held the Antelopes scoreless for the game’s first nine minutes and took a dominating 33-10 lead at halftime.
The 10 points allowed was the second-fewest in a half in school history, trailing only the seven points allowed in this year’s opener against
“I thought it was one of the best defensive efforts we’ve had in my 19 years here,” said Rusty Osborne, who is in his sixth season as head coach after spending 13 as a Seawolf assistant. “We really challenged the players with their individual defensive assignments, and they all did a great job tonight.”
UAA forced the Antelopes (4-9) into 32.6 percent shooting and forced 18 turnovers as the 38 points tied for the 4th-fewest ever allowed by a Seawolf team.
Robinson started the game with three three-pointers in the first seven minutes, propelling UAA to a 13-0 lead before GCU’s Rony Tchatchoua sank a short jumper at the 11-minute mark.
Marco Ramas scored a team-high nine points for the Antelopes, who shot just 20 percent (4 of 20) and missed all six of their three-point tries in the first half.
UAA center Malcolm Campbell scored all 11 of his points in the second half and point guard Drew Robinson had a solid night with seven points, seven assists and no turnovers. Casey Robinson finished with 6-of-8 shooting from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point land.
The Seawolves – who have played their first seven games on the road or at Sullivan Arena – will make their Wells Fargo Sports Complex debut next week when they host the AT&T Jamboree, Dec. 19-20.
