UAA men add exhibitions

ANCHORAGE (Oct. 18) – The Alaska Anchorage men’s basketball team has added a pair of exhibitions to its 2010-11 schedule, head coach Rusty Osborne announced Monday.

The Seawolves, who began practice Friday, will make their public debut Oct. 30 with an intrasquad scrimmage following the UAA-Seattle Pacific volleyball match. The scrimmage will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

UAA will also play a game against the Seawolf Alumni on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at the WFSC. Admission to both the scrimmage and alumni game is free.

Additionally, there has been a pair of small adjustments in the regular-season schedule. On Dec. 4, the Seawolves will play West Region foe Hawaii Pacific at the Glacier Classic in Fairbanks. That game had originally featured Benedict as UAA’s opponent.

UAA’s Great Northwest Athletic Conference home tip-off times against Montana State Billings (Jan. 5) and Alaska Fairbanks (Feb. 23) have been moved up 30 minutes as well. Both games will begin at 6:30 p.m. AST to accommodate regional telecasts on FSN Northwest.
