Jaguars Jump To No. 6 In Nation

ASU appears in national rankings for 36th consecutive week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State jumped four spots up to No. 6 in the
initial NABC/Coaches Poll of the 2009-10 season.

The Jaguars, who were ranked No. 10 in the NABC preseason poll, are off
to a 2-0 start to the season following Saturday's 68-58 non-conference
victory over Benedict in Columbia, S.C.

With the ranking, ASU has now appeared in the top 25 for a
school-record 36 consecutive weeks, dating back to the 2006-07
campaign. The Jaguars have been ranked among the nation's top 10 in 16
of the last 17 polls.

ASU travels to metro-Atlanta on Wednesday, Nov. 25 to take on
NAIA-power Life University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., in
Marietta, Ga.
